our process

Design and Planning: At this stage we will work with you to determine the design, dimensions, and layout of the concrete patio.

Site Preparation: Clear the designated area of any obstructions, debris, or vegetation. Level and compact the ground to create a stable base for the patio.

Formwork Installation: Set up forms along the edges of the patio to establish the desired shape and dimensions. These forms will contain the concrete during pouring.

Reinforcement Placement: If necessary, we will install steel reinforcement such as mesh or rebar within the formwork to enhance the patio's strength and minimize cracking.

Mixing and Pouring Concrete: Prepare the concrete mixture according to specifications, incorporating the right proportions of cement, aggregates, water, and additives. Pour the concrete into the formwork and distribute it evenly using rakes, shovels, and screeds.

Control Joint Cuts: Once the concrete is poured but still in its plastic state, control joint cuts are made. These are deliberate, straight-line cuts made on the surface of the concrete at predetermined intervals. Control joints help control cracking by providing relief points where the concrete can expand or contract.

Finishing: After the control joint cuts are made, the concrete surface is finished to achieve the desired texture and appearance. Techniques such as troweling, stamping, or brooming may be employed to create the desired finish. The edges are also formed and finished neatly.

Project completion: We want to make sure that you are 100% satisfied in our work. Before we leave a job site we will make sure that all of your questions are answered and you are completely comfortable with the work that was performed.
